Services

I offer the following occupational therapy services

Individual mental health OT

Life’s challenges can take a toll on your mental wellbeing, affecting your ability to function at work, at home, and in your relationships.

Whether you’re struggling with stress, anxiety, burnout, or the ongoing impact of a mental health condition, occupational therapy can help you regain balance and engage in life in a way that feels meaningful and fulfilling.

As a mental health occupational therapist, I look at the bigger picture, not just your symptoms, but how they affect your daily life, routines, and sense of purpose. I help you reconnect with activities that bring joy and meaning while building the skills and strategies you need to handle life’s challenges with confidence.

How I support you
  • Work with you to set therapy goals that align with your needs, values, and personal circumstances.
  • Equip you with practical skills to deal with your unique challenges, and engage more fully in daily life.
  • Help you build sustainable routines and habits that support mental wellness.
  • Guide you in improving your ability to function at work, in relationships, and in your personal growth.

With the right support, you can manage challenges, strengthen resilience, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. We don’t just talk change, we make it happen.

Examples of diagnoses and problems treated during individual sessions:

  • Anxiety disorders: Generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, and OCD
  • Depression & Mood disorders: Major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder, and bipolar disorder
  • Burnout & Work-related stress: Chronic stress, emotional exhaustion, and difficulty maintaining work-life balance
  • Neurodivergent Conditions: ADHD, autism, and executive functioning challenges
  • Caregiver stress & Compassion fatigue: Supporting parents and caregivers of individuals with disabilities, dementia, or chronic illness
  • Adjustment & Life transitions: Coping with major life changes such as a new diagnosis, loss, or career shifts

Skills building groups

Developing practical coping strategies can make all the difference in how you navigate life’s challenges. Skills-building groups provide structured training in evidence-based techniques to help you manage emotions, improve relationships, and build resilience.

These groups are focused on learning and applying skills, not just discussion. Each session includes a teaching component, hands-on practice, and real-life application of tools that support mental wellness and personal growth.

Skills building groups typically run over a number of weeks, focusing on one specific skill at a time.

Groups are formed when there is enough interest in a specific skill or topic. Examples of skills-building groups:

  • Emotional regulation & coping skills: Learn how to manage overwhelming emotions, reduce impulsivity, and respond to stress in a more balanced way. Based on DBT and other therapeutic approaches, this group provides step-by-step guidance on self-regulation.
  • Relationships & communication: Struggling with setting boundaries, saying no, or expressing your needs clearly? This group teaches assertiveness, conflict resolution, and effective communication skills for healthier relationships.
  • Executive function & productivity skills: For individuals who struggle with focus, organisation, and follow-through. Learn practical strategies for time management, goal-setting, and overcoming procrastination to improve daily functioning.
  • Stress management: Life’s challenges are inevitable, but how you respond makes all the difference. This group focuses on developing a resilient mindset, stress-reduction techniques, and strategies to prevent burnout.

Skills-building groups are structured, goal-oriented, and designed for real change. Whether you’re looking to manage emotions, improve communication, or enhance focus, these groups provide the tools you need to move forward with confidence.

Quality of life enhancement for older adults

A fulfilling life isn’t just about getting through the day; it’s about engaging in meaningful activities that bring joy, connection, and a sense of purpose. As we age, changes in health, mobility, and cognition can make it harder to participate in the things that once felt effortless. Occupational therapy can help older adults maintain independence, find new ways to stay engaged, and improve overall wellbeing.

How these sessions support older adults

  • Provide guidance to families and caregivers to create supportive environments.
  • Assess daily routines and activities to ensure balance and fulfillment.
  • Introduce adaptive strategies to maintain independence in self-care, hobbies, and social interactions.
  • Support cognitive function, memory, and mental engagement for those with or without dementia.
